Superintendent's Message
Dear EHPS School Community,

Safe Schools Week is an annual event that takes place during the third week of October to promote school safety and security. This year, the 2024 Safe Schools Week took place from October 20–26.
Activities conducted during America’s
#SafeSchoolsWeek draw attention to the continuing problem of school violence and educate everyone about how schools can be made safer and more secure.

Some resources for more information and resources about Safe Schools Week include:

America’s Safe Schools Week offers an opportunity to address this very important issue and to take steps to ensure that schools offer students and teachers an environment in which they can perform to the best of their abilities.

Our number one priority remains school safety and security.

In Partnership,
Erica Forti

Responsible Citizenship Classroom Lesson & Volunteer Activity:
Some elementary classrooms across the district recently participated in a Vision of the Graduate Learning Activity for the attribute of Responsible Citizenship! In this activity, students learned about the roles of different East Haven community helpers and acknowledged their positive contributions to the East Haven community. The activity involved writing letters to East Haven community helpers to express their appreciation for the work they do that will then be mailed. Students learned that expressing appreciation to community helpers is an act of responsible citizenship because it shows that they value, respect and support the people who contribute to their safety and well-being of their community!
